Good service and most importantly: amazingly good food!

Very below average restaurant. The ambience is absolutely not appealing, the service (with the exception of one lady) was really under all cannon, I have seldom experienced such unprofessional and impolite service. The hygiene also left a lot to be desired, everything looked very neglected. Now for the food. I ordered soba with tempura and takoyaki. The takoyaki was very good. However, the soba was an absolute disappointment. The noodles were extremely brittle, much too soft and tasted like a well-known soba that you can cook yourself. The tempura was ok, apart from the fact that a shrimp was not at all tasty and bitter. For the prices that are charged there, it is outrageous to serve such a meal. I ate the same thing in Japan for a much cheaper price and with a much better taste. I will not eat there again and with the best will I cannot recommend this restaurant at all.

Very suitable for soba eaters, but you have to get used to it first

For me it is the Soba Restaurant in Düsseldorf! The soba noodles are still made by hand and if you are lucky you can watch the cook doing it. The soup is delicious, as are the rest of the dishes on the menu. It is advisable to reserve a place as it is always well attended. Definitely a recommendation!

I had been here before. Since the last visit, the range of starters has increased. What starters I ate was delicious. Not only homemade soba (buckwheat noodles) can be eaten, but now also udon (noodles made from wheat flour), which are really delicious with broth. I will now visit the restaurant more often.

The restaurant is really extremely stylish. No cheap decoration, instead the colors were very much harmoniously adapted to each other. The staff worked quickly, cleanly and nicely. The restaurant does indeed have the potential to become my new favorite. What I can really recommend are the desserts. We've both been there for the third time and have tried a pinch of new things with each visit.

Unfortunately, you can only award five points .... what we saw and ate today is worth 100 stars ... thanks for the dedication and the perfection of the buckwheat noodles made before our eyes ... and the dishes made afterwards .. . I'm still speechless .... one of your shops with very nice and hard-working staff ... thank you

Great place for traditional japanese soba dishes.

I ordered a soba with tempura shrimp. Taste is not bad but it’s so small for a male adult not to mention the expensive price. I ended up having to go to the nearby ramen place for a ‘second dinner’.

We made a reservation last night. We couldn't come because of an accident. Nevertheless, as a matter of courtesy, I called again, apologized and canceled so that the restaurant could allocate the seats. The reaction from the employee was: she had instructed me that it was not possible and insulted me "politely". What an outrage. So if you can't make your reservation, it's best not to call at all. You are only berated for your politeness.

I never thought I could have this authentic Japanese food outside of Japan. The staff is friendly, food is great and if you're lucky you can watch a skillful Japanese gentleman make the noodles fresh in the back of the shop. We'll surely come back next time we visit Düsseldorf.

It was perfect, they had the buchweizen tea which i missed so much since our Japan trip. The soba noodles were great and the soup too. The portions were a little bit too small comparing to the price. Nevertheless, it was a great reminder of the time spent in Japan . We will visit again, for sure! Arigato!

We both found the choice of drinks great! From our point of view, a meeting in the restaurant is highly recommended. The armchairs are extremely comfortable and the distance between the tables is particularly adequate. There you won't get the faintest feeling like eating cucumbers in a can in the evening. In the restaurant you get both: friendly and quick waiters.

Very tasty soba! I tried the dipping soda and was surprised by the quantity and the amazing taste. Service is very friendly, can speak English and recommend their dishes if you ask for it without trouble. You get a cup of free tea. Very budgetfriendly and absolutely tasty. Want to go back and eat again.

Delicious, but bit more expensive that I expected

I’ve lived in Japan for many years and this place is pretty good. The service is very Japanese and not like your typical European or American service. You must go there about 30 minutes before they open because there will be a long line and you will have to wait for a table to open since the place is very small. They have about 20 tables or less so go early and wait in line or be one of the lucky ones to get in first. It’s like this at a lot of Japanese restaurants. Some places take only reservations so when looking for a place to eat, make sure to view their website and see if a reservation is needed.

Unique and unique! Japanese is not about) Little tip for people who want to expand even outside the traditional noodle soup the horizon. The homemade buckwheat noodles are a treat for body and soul while immersing yourself in the intimate classic cuisine. Modern, traditionally furnished and super friendly people help you to find your way through the overwhelming selection. Better go there 3 times and try everything;) A clear recommendation. Save the 10 at Mekkes and buy Soba!

Delicious handmade soba noodles. I took the set, with unagi rice and tempura, which was a perfect combination. The unagi was perfectly grilled, not too filling as well. The tempura was also great, not greasy at all! One tip is to perhaps explain the customer on the side dishes and broth, and how to eat soba noodles The restaurant was completely full, which made the service was a bit slow and it took a while before we got a seat. On a side note, we were the last customers to be served before closing for their afternoon break, so I understand they wouldn’t hurry to clean the tables.

Service is a bit slow, but consider the amount of their staff, it’s understandable. Excellent food, reasonable price. Their fried shrimp is right on spot. 台灣人大推!

Great selection of dishes, veggie-friendly, nice staff.

There are ramen shops everywhere overseas. But there are no soba shops in the area. If you are tired of greasy dishes, you should go there. Don't worry if you have a tempura. It was okay because I visited for a late lunch today, but it is safer to have a reservation at night.

Reminds me of the Soup *N-word* episode of Seinfeld. Hands down for their Soba and other side items in their menu, but the shop owner is just plainly rude (unless you're with a Japanese friend).

Great restaurant that serves truly authentic soba dishes. Freshly hand-made, every day. Excellent service as well. Extremely healthy food, also totally authentic, feels like being in Japan every time. Try it!

We had buckwheat rice, toro rice and tempura soba 14.90 Euro for lunch. It was delicious. It will be crowded from the 12 o'clock opening.

Lovely original Japanese restaurant

If you want a change from the noise and intense flavors of Düsseldorf's ramen scene, I can highly recommend the refined, quiet experience of soba at Soba-an. The the flavors in the soup are subtle and perfectly balanced. Simple lighly grilled vegetables in a slightly sweet umami of a dashi broth with homemade buckwheat noodles - this is a meal perfectly suited for a deep conversation or a quiet meditation alone.

Many Japanese customers come here to dine and a Japanese friend of mine confirms that this is very authentic Japanese food! The soba noodle and the fish ball soup that I ordered were very tasty, the staff was also friendly. Be aware of long queues so it's recommended to make a reservation. Highly recommend!

It is a foreign-style soba restaurant in a good sense, not Japanese food, which has been deviled abroad. I received € 12.00 for Heavens. Some people like soba noodles may have different tastes, but the texture here is good and the taste is firm and I like it.
